Civil Security AI LLC ("CSAI," "we," "us") provides the Civil Security AI mobile app and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We do not sell your personal information.
The CSAI SMS safety alert program is strictly opt-in and consent-based. Messages are sent only when you start an encounter recording and only to the trusted contacts you have added. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms & Conditions for full details.
We share information only with service providers who help us run the app (for example, hosting providers and SMS delivery carriers) under written confidentiality obligations, or as required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety of any person.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties. The mobile phone number and consent a trusted contact provides to opt in to SMS safety alerts are used only to send those alerts and are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties, affiliates, or advertisers for their own purposes.
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. You control your encounter recordings and can delete them at any time from the app. We retain other personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal or accounting requirements.
The Creators feed uses YouTube API Services to show a curated selection of publicly available civil-rights and legal-education videos. We request only public video information — titles, thumbnails, channel names, view counts, and durations. When you search within the Creators feed, your search terms are sent to YouTube through our servers to return matching videos. We do not send your account details, location, encounter recordings, or AI assistant chats to YouTube, and we do not access your YouTube account or watch history.
Video playback takes place inside YouTube's embedded player. When you play a video, YouTube may collect information about that playback under its own policies. By using the Creators feed you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and any information collected by YouTube and Google is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
CSAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app and reflected by an updated effective date above.
