How placement works

Your listing is shown to users across your entire state, ordered by distance from their county. The county you choose is where you appear first.

Any bar-verified attorney can request a free basic listing; sponsored placement puts you first. To request a free listing, use the free claim form.

Founding firms

The first 25 firms nationwide pay the founding rate for their first year. After that, founding firms keep a permanent 20% discount off the then-current list price, plus first refusal on their slot at every renewal.

Placement

Payment is handled by Stripe. Listings go live after bar verification, usually within one business day. Sponsored placement is advertising and is labeled as such in the app. Civil Security AI does not sell leads and does not pair users with attorneys.

Questions

Where does my listing appear?
To users anywhere in your state, ordered by distance from their county — you appear first in the county you choose. Never outside your state. Want to be first in more than one county? Purchase each county separately.
What does it cost?
It depends on the county: major metros list at $999 Featured / $299 Priority, mid-size markets $499 / $149, smaller counties $99 / $49 — per month. Placements run in 12-month terms; renewal is at the then-current rate for your county, and you always get first refusal on your slot. Founding firms pay about half in year one and keep 20% off list after that.
Why 12-month terms?
So the directory stays fair. Exclusive slots are never owned forever — at each renewal the price reflects how many people actually use the app in your county, and the incumbent firm gets first refusal before a slot ever goes back to market.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from your Stripe billing portal. Your listing stays live to the end of the paid period.
What is verified?
Your bar number against your state bar's public lookup. We do not rate or rank attorneys.
Who moderates content?
You are responsible for your own listing content meeting your state's advertising rules. We label every sponsored card and remove anything that violates the terms.
Do you sell leads?
No. Flat subscription only. No per-lead fees, no case pairing, no contingency.
